About

I'm Corneliu. I have been shipping software since 2003: Java first, then PHP, Python and TypeScript. I spent 7 years at AWS as a Solutions Architect, then as a Senior GenAI Prototyping Architect, building more than 30 prototypes with customers across EMEA, GenAI-only after ChatGPT. Since September 2025 I have been Staff GenAI Solutions Architect at Betclic.

I also co-founded two travel products, both live: StreetLens, GPS audio guides, and Back From My Trip, trip reports with one verdict. I co-created Agent Squad and a handful of MCP servers.

Cloud

Before GenAI, the cloud. Seven years at AWS: serverless, edge, media streaming, security, for hundreds of customers. AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional and Security Specialty. Everything I build still runs serverless: StreetLens and Back From My Trip on Supabase Edge Functions, this site as static pages.

How I build with AI

The model reads. Code decides.

Most problems still want a query, a rule or a cron job, not a prompt. When a model does belong, the pattern matters more than the prompt: an agent that sees the data but never writes the reply, a pipeline that extracts facts before it narrates, a second model as reviewer instead of author.

A model is a fast pair of hands, not an architect. It writes code, docs and tests under my direction, and nothing I can't explain gets shipped.

Speaking

AWS re:Invent, AWS Summits, the AWS GenAI Loft at Station F, and AWS podcasts in English and French. The list, with links, is on my CV.

Photography

I photograph the places I travel to. The series are here.
